The Collages of Robert M. Swedroe 2006-2011
Robert M. Swedroe .................................................................. USA (FL)

The Collages of Robert M. Swedroe 2006-2011

My latest bold and colorful three-dimensional collages created through a unique art technique made their mark in the art world from the time they were first exhibited in 2006. In response to my work, astute gallery owners, prominent artists, educators, and collectors urged me to produce this book.

I am proud to say that my art work has been recognized as following in the best traditions of such masters of collage as Georges Braque, Max Ernst and Pablo Picasso. As I had hoped, the storytelling creations struck a chord with sophisticated collectors, who were moved by my use of intricate patterns and vibrant colors.

My works are exhibited in a nationally known art gallery along with the work of such masters as Louise Nevelson, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Chuck Close. When the gallery owner learned that I have been a successful practicing architect for over four decades, he wrote, “It is his drive that over 40 years ago helped Robert stage several sold out shows in galleries nationwide while also pursuing the demanding career as an architect. It is this compulsion that still, to this day, keeps him working, creating and innovating.”

I believe this colorful book with over 150 full color images and minimal text would be a welcome addition to any art collector’s library.
